Sharing and earning
How members share campaigns and actions, and how sharing earns them points.
Members can share a whole campaign or a single action, and they earn points for spreading the word. Sharing is one of the main ways a campaign grows, so the reward gets bigger as a share does more.
How sharing earns points
Sharing pays on a tier. The more a share actually does, the more the member earns.
- For sharing. A small reward each time a member shares something new, up to a daily limit. This is the nudge to hit share in the first place.
- When people take action on their link. Once a member's link starts driving other people to act on a campaign, that group becomes their Squad, and the member (the Squad's captain) can collect a bonus based on how much action it drives. - When a brand-new supporter joins through their link and takes action. This is a referral, and it pays the most. See Kudos and referrals.
A member earns only one of the Squad bonus or the referral reward for a given action, never both. The daily and weekly limits keep it fair and stop anyone from gaming it.
The exact point values are set by your game economy and can change. What stays true is the shape: sharing earns a little, someone acting on the share earns more, and a new supporter joining through it earns the most.
Always use the Share button
This is the part members most need to know. The Share button builds a member's personal share link, which carries a small tag that tells Organiz the share came from them. That tag is what earns them the follow-on points when other people act on the link.
Copying the web address straight from the browser's address bar does not do this. It earns no points and carries no credit back to the member, because the personal tag is not in it. So members should always share with the Share button, never by copying the address bar.
Sharing a campaign or a single action
Both work, and both earn the same way.
- To share a whole campaign, use the Share and earn button in the campaign header.
- To share one action, open the ... menu on that action and choose Share.
- On a phone, this opens the device's own share sheet. On a computer, it opens a share panel with a copy-link button and buttons for the main social apps.
Pinning is not sharing
Pinning a campaign or action to a profile is a different thing. It curates what shows on a member's own profile so visitors see what they care about. Pinning on its own does not earn points. Sharing is what earns points.
Seeing what a member's sharing did
A member's Squads tab shows how many actions their link has driven on each campaign. It is a simple way for a member to see that spreading the word is paying off, both in points and in real impact for your campaign. See Squads.
