Quests

Small things members do with each other, made for each member automatically.

A quest is a small task that brings members together, like giving someone kudos or remixing another member's photo. You don't write them. Organiz makes them for each member from what's happening on your campaign.

Each member has up to 3 quests on a campaign at a time. Quests look like your other actions, with a light tint, and show at the top of the list. Tapping one opens a short window with a button that takes the member where the quest happens. A quest finishes only when the member really does the thing, and the points arrive then.

Families and levels

Quests come in families, like Chat or Posts. Each family is a ladder of levels, from easiest to hardest. A member gets the next level they haven't done yet. Once they've done every level, the family keeps offering the ones that can be repeated. A member's quests come from different families, one per family at a time.

A level that can't be done right now is skipped. For example, if nobody new has joined your campaign, nobody is asked to welcome a newcomer. Each quest card shows its family and level, like "Chat · Level 2 of 3".

Introduce yourself and Share your first photo or video happen once. The rest can come back after a member has done them. Quests that need posts only appear once members have posted. Share your first photo or video needs a photo or video action on the campaign. Do the featured action needs an action with Show on organization page turned on in its Options tab. Each quest has a time limit of 2 or 3 days.

Quests only use actions that earn points

A quest never asks a member to do an action with its points turned off, such as a donation or voter registration. That way a member can't earn quest points for it either. If you turn off an action's points after a quest has picked it, the quest ends and a new one takes its place.

Paired actions

Organiz pairs a newer member with a more experienced one on the same campaign. Both see the quest, each other's name and a link to each other's profile. They pick up an action neither has done yet. Once both finish it, both earn the quest's points.

A member is paired at most once every 2 days and 5 times a week, and never with the same person twice in 2 weeks. Members can turn pairing off in their settings. New pairs are made once a day.

Turn quests on or off

  1. Open the campaign in the page builder.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Under Quests, find the quest under its family. Clear the box next to any quest you don't want on this campaign. A member then skips to the family's next level.
  4. Change the points next to a quest to set what it's worth, from 0 to 250.

Changes apply to new quests. Quest points count toward a member's daily points limit.
