Rewards
Run a store where members spend the points they have earned.
Each organization has one reward store. Members spend the points they earn by taking actions to redeem the rewards you create.
What rewards are
Organiz does not handle payments. Rewards are digital. They can be avatar frames, banners, stickers, spotlights, or coupon codes for a store you already run. Redeeming gives the member a download or a code, not a purchase.
Create a reward
- Go to Rewards in the admin and select add.
- Enter a title and a description.
- Upload one or more images. The first image is the main one.
- Choose a value tier (Small, Medium, Large, or Premium). The points cost is worked out from the tier and your challenge level. Turn on Override if you want to type an exact cost instead.
- To run a sale, set a sale price. Members see the original price crossed out next to the sale price.
- Save. The reward appears in your store for members to redeem.
If your campaign has a deadline, like an election, set a campaign end date on the Economy settings page. The Rewards page then marks any reward members can't earn before that day. See Campaigns with a deadline.
Give out unique codes
Some rewards need a different code for each member, like single-use store coupons. You can give a reward its own pool of one-time codes.
- Open the reward for editing.
- In the Unique code pool panel, paste your codes, one per line, and select add.
- The panel shows how many codes are available and how many have been redeemed.
When a reward has codes, each redemption claims one and shows it to that member. Two members can never get the same code, and when the codes run out the reward shows as sold out. A reward with no codes falls back to a shared coupon code or a plain download.
Limit redemptions per member
The Per-member limit sets how many times one member can redeem a reward. The default is 1. Set it to 0 for no limit. It works the same way for code pool rewards and shared rewards.
Stock and sold out
For a code pool reward, stock is the number of codes still available. For other rewards it is the quantity you set. When stock reaches zero the reward shows a Sold out tag and cannot be redeemed. When it is running low it shows a Low tag, so you know to add more. To restock, open the reward and raise the quantity, or add more codes to the pool.
At the top of the Rewards page you see a quick summary of how many rewards are sold out or low on stock, so you can spot what to restock at a glance.
Showing and hiding a reward
Each reward has an Active switch. Active rewards appear in the member rewards store and can be redeemed. Turning it off hides the reward from members without deleting it, so you can bring it back later. The same control is the Activate and Deactivate button on each row of the Rewards table.
What spending points does
Redeeming lowers a member's available points balance. It does not lower their level. Levels reflect the points a member has earned over time, so redeeming never sets a member back.
Redemption history
The Redemption History view shows every redemption. You can see who redeemed what, when, and for how many points. Export it to match against your records.
