Branding your pages
Set your web address, a brand color, and a banner photo so your pages feel like yours.
Give your organization its own look and its own address on Organiz. Pick one brand color and, if you want, add a banner photo for your organization profile and reward store. You do not need any design skill to do this.
Set your web address
Your organization has a public profile page. The web address is the last part
of its link, so organiz.org/org/wsu belongs to the organization with the
web address wsu.
- Go to Settings in the admin.
- Type what you want in Web address. Your organization name is a good starting point.
- Select Save changes.
Use lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens. If you type something else,
Organiz tidies it up when you save, so "Wichita State" becomes
wichita-state. Every organization needs its own address, so if the one you
want is already in use you will be asked to pick another.
Pick an address you are happy to keep. Changing it later does not keep the old one working, so anything already pointing at the old address stops working, including links you have shared and anything a search engine has indexed.
This address is your organization's, not a campaign's. Your campaign pages keep their own addresses, and renaming a campaign never changes where your organization profile lives.
Set your brand color
- Go to Settings in the admin.
- Under Brand color, pick a color or type in its hex code, like
#8B0000. - Select Save changes.
Organiz builds a full, readable color scheme from that one color for you, including a version for dark mode. You do not need to pick a text color or a second shade. To go back to the default Organiz look, clear the field and save.
This color applies everywhere by default, including every campaign page you run. If you run several campaign pages under one organization and want one of them to stand out with its own color, you can set that in the page builder instead. See Pages and campaigns for how.
Add a banner photo
- Under Banner image, select Upload banner and choose a photo.
- Save changes. Your banner appears behind the header on your organization profile and your reward store.
- To remove it, select Remove and save. Your pages go back to the plain header.
Your organization profile and reward store each fit the photo into a slightly differently shaped header, so a photo that looks right on one can crop tighter on the other. A wide landscape photo, at least 1600 by 900 pixels, works best for both. Keep the main subject centered rather than near an edge, since that is the part most likely to survive either crop.
Organiz keeps the header text readable over any photo you choose by adding a soft shading behind it, so you do not need to pick a photo with empty space for the title.
Want a banner on a specific campaign page instead? Campaign pages have their own banner, set under the Themes tab in the page builder. See Pages and campaigns for how.
Where this shows up
Your brand color applies to your campaign pages, your organization profile, and your reward store, unless a campaign page has set its own color. Your banner photo appears only on your organization profile and your reward store. Neither one shows up on a member's own profile, their notifications, or on another organization's pages.
Changes take effect the moment you save. There is no waiting for a rebuild or a deploy.
Only your organization's pages change
Setting a brand color or banner never changes anything for your members personally. It only changes how your own pages, profile, and reward store look to everyone who visits them.
