Using the Admin
Team and roles
The two roles, what each can do, and how invites work.
You manage your team under Team then Users. Organiz uses two roles inside each organization.

The two roles
| What you can do | Data Admin | Admin |
|---|---|---|
| Pages, Users, Settings | Yes | Yes |
| Member Data tab | Yes | No |
| Export and CRM sync | Yes | No |
| Invite an Admin | Yes | Yes |
| Invite a Data Admin | Yes | No |
| Change someone's role | Yes | No |
| Disable or reactivate users | Yes | No |
In short, a Data Admin can do everything, including member data and managing other admins. An Admin builds and runs campaigns but cannot see member data or change roles.
Invite someone
- Go to Team then Users.
- Select invite and enter the person's email.
- Choose their role. New invites default to Admin. Only a Data Admin can invite another Data Admin.
- Send the invite. The person gets an email, opens the link, sets up a login, and joins your organization.
Guardrails
A few rules prevent lockouts and mistakes.
- The last Data Admin in an organization cannot be removed, disabled, or moved down to Admin. There is always someone who can manage roles.
- No one can disable their own account.
- A Data Admin can step down to Admin, including for themselves, unless they are the last one.
- An Admin cannot change anyone's role or disable other users.
