Pages and campaigns
Build campaign pages with the drag and drop builder and control when they go live.
A page in Organiz is a campaign. It is a set of actions and content that your members move through. Pages are where all your actions live.
Build a page
- Go to Pages in the admin and select create.
- Give the page a web address, called a slug. Use letters, numbers, hyphens,
and underscores, like
save-the-bay. - In the builder, add blocks to assemble the page. You can add a header, text, dividers, and CTAs. The header's title starts as a readable version of the slug, like "Save the bay". Change it to your campaign's name.
- Your work saves as you go. The page stays a draft until you publish it.
Customize a campaign page's look
Every campaign page starts out looking like the rest of your organization, using the brand color you set in Settings. If you run more than one campaign page and want one of them to stand out, you can give that page its own banner photo and its own color, right in the builder.
- Open the page in the builder and go to the Themes tab.
- Under Banner image, select Upload banner and choose a photo. This banner appears only on this page, behind its header.
- Under Brand color, pick a color or type in its hex code, like
#8B0000. This color applies only on this page, in place of your organization's color. - Select Save.
A campaign banner is wide and short, cropped tight on both desktop and mobile. A photo around 1600 by 350 pixels avoids awkward cropping. Keep the main subject centered, since the edges are the first part to go.
Leave the color blank to use your organization's own color instead. The banner works differently: leave it blank and the page simply has no banner, even if your organization has one set in Settings. A page's banner is entirely its own. To remove a page's banner or color later, clear the field and save. For your organization's own banner and color, which every other page uses, see Branding your pages.
Change a page's web address
You can change a page's address at any time, before or after publishing.
- Open the page in the builder and go to the Settings tab.
- Under Page URL, type the new address and select Change.
- Read the confirmation and select Change URL.
The old address keeps working and sends people to the page's new one, so flyers, posts, and links you have already shared stay good. This does not expire. Points, members, and the leaderboard all move with the page.
Addresses are shared across all of Organiz, so one that another organization already uses is not available. Use letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores.
Publish or unpublish
Every new page starts as a draft. A draft is private. It does not appear anywhere public and search engines will not list it. You and your team can still build and preview it.
- When the page is ready, select Publish in the builder header. The page goes live right away at its public address.
- To take a live page back to private, select Unpublish. You will be asked to confirm, because this removes public access.
- You can also publish or unpublish from the Pages list. Select the status label on a page to switch it.
Edits to a page that is already live show up right away. There is no separate step to push them.
A draft has no public version yet, so the two actions that hand out a page's public address check with you first.
- View live page opens the address in a new tab. On a draft it asks whether to publish first. Select Publish and view to publish and open the page in one step.
- Share page link copies the address. On a draft it asks the same way. Select Publish and copy link to publish and copy in one step.
Either prompt has a Cancel if you would rather leave the page as a draft.
Publishing is instant, but some lists refresh on a delay
A few public lists refresh every few minutes. A page you just published or unpublished can take a short while to appear or disappear there. The admin always shows the current status right away.
Archive or restore a page
When you no longer need a page, archive it. Archiving hides the page from members, but nothing is lost. Its blocks, points, and member activity all stay, and you can bring it back at any time. Pages are never deleted.
- On the Pages list, select the archive icon on the page. You can also open the page in the builder, go to Settings, and select Archive page.
- Confirm. The page leaves the member app and moves to the Archived tab on the Pages list.
- To bring it back, open the Archived tab and select the restore icon on the page. You can also select Restore in the builder header.
- A restored page comes back as a draft, so it stays private until you publish it again.
Members who open an archived page's link get a not-found page. The page also drops out of your organization's profile, pinned campaigns, and category comparisons until you restore and publish it. Its chat leaves members' Messages list too. The messages are kept and come back when you restore the page.
Compare categories
If you run the same program across several groups, give each group its own page and label that page with the group it belongs to. A group might be a state, a region, a chapter, or a team. Members then see a line under the weekly goal bar showing where their group stands, and can open the full standings from there or from your organization's profile.
- Open the page in the builder and go to Settings.
- In Category, type the group this page belongs to, such as "California" or "Team A".
- Select Save category.
The box suggests labels you have already used on other pages. Pick one of those when two pages belong to the same group, so both count as one category. Spelling matters, so "California" and "Calif." would be treated as two categories.
Categories are ranked on the points they earned, most first. A category with more than one page has all of its pages pooled together. Categories that have not earned anything yet are listed separately, under "Quiet this week".
Members can switch between this week and the past 3 weeks. The past 3 weeks view pools the three full weeks before this one, so a single quiet week does not decide the whole picture. It leaves out the current week, which the "This week" view already shows.
The comparison only appears once you have labeled pages for two or more categories. Draft pages and pages with no label are left out. Clear the box and save to remove a page's label.
A label organises the comparison, it does not restrict members
Labelling a page by category does not stop a member from taking an action on another category's page, and it does not change how points are pooled. Points stay shared across your whole organization. Send each category's link to that category's own members.
Share a page
Use the Share button in the builder header to copy the page's public link. Send it to supporters yourself, or let members share it from the member app.
